Middies Athletic Program
Saint Gertrude High School offers athletic teams for middle school girls from Richmond Catholic and public middle schools. This Middies program is a great opportunity for girls to learn and grow in their sport and meet girls from different schools. We welcome all middle school girls!
SGHS offers Field Hockey and Volleyball in the Fall, Basketball in the Winter, and Lacrosse and Softball in the Spring.

Lacrosse (5th-8th Grade)
Practices:
- Starting the Week of March 6th through Mid May
- Saint Gertrude Outdoor Athletic Center, 490 Scott Road
- Twice a week, 5-6:30 PM
Games:
- Play against other Middle School Teams
- Season runs through mid May, ending with the Hanover Havoc tournament
Fee is $200 for the season.
Softball (6th-8th Grade)
Practices:
- Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30-6PM at Hunton Recreation Center: 11690 Old Washington Hwy Glen Allen, VA 23059 or Saint Gertrude Outdoor Athletic Center (OAC), 490 Scott Road.
- Practices will begin the week of March 6.
Games:
- Home games are at the OAC.
- Away game are various local schools.
Fee is $125 for the season.
